Dome To Sprite Cabling

Featured Replies

Hi ! guys looking for some advice from your own experiance if poss, simple job with controls of mains complication, have to install 2060 dome to sprite2 with sprite control joy stick keyboard problem is that if I have to put the psu unit adjacent to the dome it will cause problems wiring mains to it,but if I can site the psu 25mtr away and supply the low volts via a two core cable of 1.5mm then the job is easier question; can you do this or not ?.

Paul

You could do, but I think 1.5mm cable could be a tad on the small side due to volt drop.

Im not saying your wrong as ive never tried it but i cant see it being a problem myself.

I suppose what I should have said was something along the lines of as long as volt drop calculations check out as fine then it should work no problems.

Paul.

25m away, if the 2060 is a 24v ac one then you should have no problems.

No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.

Ideally psu should be local, however I have had 2060's work fine over 25m with 8core 'quadrupled' up when a static has been replaced later with a ptz.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
