Hi, yeah, I have read instructions, and they don't mention anything about it only going off for 2 seconds before stopping. I have tested both returns tamper, and sounder trigger; all seems to be fine. Anyone else had this problem?

Hi,
I need help wiring a Novagard 2 bell box to an ADE Accenta G3 alarm panel. The sounder only goes for two seconds on power up, before stopping. The LEDs flash normally, however, there is a constant tamper on the panel too, is this some sort of test mode that the bell box is in? Am I missing something? I am guessing it isn't meant to do this. If it is a test mode, how do I get out of it? I tried powering it up just with the hold off connected to a 12v power supply, and the same thing happened, so it isn't the panel. I also tried using the negative trigger, on the 12v power supply, and the exact same thin happened. I hope I don't sound too dumb for asking this, if it is a really obvious fix! Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

Okay, I know, this will be my 99th post, I often come to this forum to read about alarms, and maybe learn a bit more, I don't post that much
-
I am sorry that you find me tragic, I come to this forum with a genuine question which I needed help answering. Thanks for helping me get the alarm sorted, but if you think I'm 'Tragic' I won't post on here again

I guess, well, thank you for all the advice, let's hope I can get it working
-
Well, I have linked out the PA terminal, and the bell SAB, also made by Revdun is fine, connections to the panel are just the same as the SAB and the micro switch is fine, I'll just link everything in the panel out, I don't see what harm it can do, it is built like a rock anyway
-
Okay, I am presuming a '24 HR' LED on the front of the panel means a tamper fault?
-
Ah, yes, I really didn't think, there were probably no PIRs then, so you suggest that I just link out every terminal?
-
Yes, I will do that, I know that there would be a very low voltage if I used the meter on a zone terminal, and 12v on an output terminal
-
Okay, I will. Hopefully, it will work, I wired a siren into that terminal, and powered it on, and it went off, I couldn't stop it, no matter what, so it may be a constant 13v supply
-
Okay, well, I hopefully will get it working, it has an SAB I will also try to connect up, it looks fairly easy to connect, so which terminal would be the 13v output
-
Thank you, I will try that, I was worried in case I shorted something out, there are no fuses inside the panel, so that's not good, I will try it, and hopefully it'll work, anyone herd of 'Revdun Electronics' before?

Okay, Shrink?

I have a bit of a collection of old alarms, this is by far the oldest, and I just needed help wiring it up, it isn't like an Accenta or anything else, do you have any idea how to connect it up?
-
Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be able to give some advice on how to wire up this alarm, e.g which terminals would be for the tamper and which would be zones, it isn't easy, but someone out there may know how to connect it up, it was made by Revdun Electronics Ltd and it is very high quality Here are some pictures... Thanks in advance

Thanks, I'll check eBay now. It's just a panel that I really like. I think many of they will still be in use across the UK

I noticed the usa have no external sounders
It is strange, I noticed that there is no tamper circuit on the alarms over there
-
Thanks for the replies Just looked like a good panel too have, I understand they are very old now, but I'm sure many are still in use
-
How was it not? Wasn't good quality?
-
Well, it is a good little SAB module, it came out of a Modern Alarms bell box, with twin piezo sounders

Yes, it is, I know about Secom alarms, but it is, would you like a picture posting? It is interesting how it integrates foam detection on an SAB board
Help Wiring Novagard 2 bell box

Well, I thought it would be some sort of test timer, but tat is for four seconds, and if there is, there is no obvious way of turning it off, into 'real' mode. How would I meter the trigger?
