  1. I don`t think, £13 a month for an annual inspection, 24 hour support, and use of a Smartphone APP is not bad value for money, technicians have to be trained, which be available 24 x 7, if self employed they also have to pay for life`s little things, food, fuel, Public Liability Insurance, fund there own training time, none of which is paid etc etc. funny how people accept paying say for a Private Dentist, Doctor, Solicitor etc, but fail to realise the vast amount of knowledge a professional installer has to collect from experience. To be fair, we use bundles of Agility 3, but really there is little money in the initial sale, for us, maintenance is where we make our money to provide on going technical support, technicians and all the other things we need to pay. For example today we are having our Upgrade NSI inspection from NSI for ISO 9001:2015, so I`m paying £450 per day for NSI & £440 per day for our Contract Quality Assurance Consultant, all paid by maintenance contributions, and all to retain our Gold Status, end of.
  2. We started off with the sounders which are really great and had been waiting after testing first panel for radio kit which is now released, so waiting for first order to arrive so I can install at home, A1 service, pity spent so much time on radio as they don't currently have an APP, so if you Need it, have to install CSL or WeyWay
  3. Hello Fella Good luck with the SSAIB, we are in South London, if you ever get a job the way, Barry
  4. What do we think about charging for the APP use to clients, Risco, Eaton is Free both APP & Cloud, HKC charge for both APP & Cloud, Pyronix has Free APP & free Cloud 1st year, then annual subscription, Texecom charge for APP but it uses client direct web connection and needs a degree to programme. Current we include the feature in the annual maintenance agreement, but where clients do not renew which is getting more and more common, we charge, additionally most of the APPS are based on clients broadband, when that faulters from time to time as they do, they want us to fix FOC, thoughts gratefully appreciated
  5. Hi Dan I`ll be first to welcome you to club so to speak, good luck, we are in Surrey if you need anything
  6. Totally agree we install these all the time, but it`s the responsibilty of the installer to check over, small but powerful panel, you could easily alter something else in the program, get your installer back or ask Risco for another installer details in your home area, but as mentioned be prepared for call out fee, or try their technical line
  7. If it`s ARC only, I`ll go back to my Agility 3 or Videofied for the camera images, but back to the drawing board for the Galaxy, and yes I think the camera/pir was about £130!!
  8. Got to wire up camera PIR`s yet but understand they are for use on free Smartphone App, so hope you are wrong about ARC only!!!!!!
  9. If its a late Galaxy Flex panel, have you tried the camera PIR yet [part number ISN3010B4] just got my 1st unit, so I`ll get it up on test, at least you can check before getting bashed over the head or dive bombed by the moth, similar to my neighbours home this morning around 06.45, bloody things!. Barry
  10. Hi Guys no, don`t work for Risco, just use a reasonable amount of their kit, and to be fair they have bent over backwards to assist when we have had problems, and yes I guess getting the camera to pole more regularly will effect the battery life, but is a couple of batteries a major problem every couple of years? Barry
  11. Our experience of the Agility 3 improves each install, the problem with lost signal or lost camera is an error message, the latest batches will be adjusted, but for current product, go into the systems menu and adjust the report time, current the report time is factory set at 58 minutes, the devices has to be "seen" twice in any rolling 2 hours, adjust this to 15 minutes, ie more attempts within the 2 hour slot and problem goes away......magic! in terms of the GSM that remains a mystery, except is was found that one of the SIM clip legs was in our case bent. Lastly short battery life in door contacts, this is due to diode damage where someone has connected the battery in the wrong way around for a few seconds, apparently the device is not polarity protected and if you look at the pcb under a magnifier one can see the damage, be more careful LOL
  12. These lost devices were blowing the windows out, really exceptional performance registered, but thanks for thought, keep `em coming
  13. Agreed, the Lightsys 2 does seem OK and value for money, with all the grief from the Agility 3, I a little worried about the newest version being release around October when they include the Camera/PIR, too old to program myself any longer, but some of my engineers say a little querky on the programming, but that`s what you get used too
  14. Hi Guys, interested in the feedback about the Agility 3, we have installed around 100+ todate, and as somebody else said, we have call back after call back, but according to Risco it`s only us!, often it`s the camera PIR that is "lost" on the system, we have had them down to fix GSM sim and all sorts of issues, but only us? and it is probably even higher than the 30% return to client rate as mentioned by somebody else, latest one today is AGAIN, lost camera / PIR, think they are having to come down from Manchester to South London this week, or client wants it removed, must say I have also lsot confidence, only use it because of A: the radio remote keypad & B: the camera PIR, hope somebody catches up shortly. all, Barry
  15. Hi All, I think I used to have membership but with one thing and another can`t log on, I am based in Cheam, Sutton, Surrey trading as AES Fire & Security and coming up to 30 years in business as a NACOSS GOLD approved installer, thanks for any future help which I hope to share. Barry
