On that note, when you are out and about in the neighbourhood how do you recognise your neighbours?
All my neighbours are as white as a sheet of a4

Would you do the same if it was a burka
I'd forgotten the official name

I was in the post office the other day and it clearly says on the door to remove anything covering your face, similar to the banks. A women was in there wearing those ski mask things so I had a go at her asking why she felt she was exempt from the rules?
-
It's not happened to me often but I've done similar that the puzzle seems so difficult but next day answer comes to you in a flash.

Sounds like it from the tales of woe...
It reminds me how much I love and trust automation. When I look at the amount of screw ups v the amount of work we do, it's nothing. I'm a bit like Jeff in this idealism that we can get close to perfection all the time.

Me neither. Religion that is.
I've started saying oh god a number of times of late . . .

I think with the volume of sins you'd struggle to get admission to any of them.its not but i dont do religion

Where we stayed at the lodge site fees are £2.5k a year which sounds good until I worked out there were 30 lodges and in that money they had to pay for 3 staff, maintain the pool, grounds, gym etc and the. Worked out they must be in 50p an hour each.

Lol
The 1000s of customers sounds exciting until you do £35 - vat x 1000 and work out that it pays for nothing
-
Just to say some of our original 30 year old customers still pay there original £35 a year and we have 1000s of customers.
We are approved and give a full service for that.
Prices have increased each year but whatever they pay the first year its stays the same.
We are the biggest installer in our area beating most of the competition.
High prices don't always means high quality as we know from what we take over most weeks.
By the way we did not quote this op just note about pricing
So in effect, if you don't put the price up, Due to inflation each year you work for less money. I can't compute where that makes business sense?

Deliver to a safe place... i.e. not the neighbour
That was well funny, I have good neighbours in both sides, so taking parcels in isn't an issue. My mum detests one of hers and the courier took a parcel round and left a card saying it was next door. I'd have laid money to see that episode when she collected it.

Well Sunday is the day of rest. I must confess on this occasion it has been very handy as I am heading south tomorrow night and I need these firewalls and had it dropped on me late Friday afternoon that I needed them so has been useful on this occasion. Thing is though certain things split weekdays and weekends and one of the things I love about Sunday is no post.
Like everything, not that new.
I was in Plymouth 2001 and the local 'Consignia' depot offered evening delivery up to 11pm (dabs.com I seem to remember was the sender)
and once had Sunday delivery on another item for £8, needed a printer ASAP for a load of assignments. Then it went away.
These days parcelforce stuff gets left at the local PO which is more than handy.
Depends how far the local PO is
I've never seen it offered before which surprised me. We use myhermes a lot as they are one if the few that will just leave something in the engineers shed. They are starting Sunday collections / deliveries
-
Ordered a couple of Cisco firewalls and to my surprise was offered delivery on Sunday at the same price as normal next day delivery.
I wasn't even aware it was possible. I know I can send stuff for Saturday delivery for about £25 but was surprised that amazon offered Sunday delivery at no premium.
I notice Royal Mail are to do the same for parcels (god knows how the unions welcomed that one) so is it inevitable that in the world we live in, no day is off limits now?
Would the fact you could get gear delivered to you / your engineers on a Sunday encourage more use of online shopping for gear from the likes of security warehouse?

Black neighbours I don't have an issue with. Neighbours wearing ski masks I have a big issue with.
