  1. Depends on the fault been omitted, but as I read it yes they can omit most faults. Do you not have access to bs 50131-1 ?
  2. I can only assume with a low battery the communications between devices goes a bit hit or miss like when you have poor signal on your radio, and the panel/receiver see this a jamming.
  3. You will be surprised when after 3min and your PIR still will not respond. Put an auto PIR on with chime and see the results.
  4. The armour is for protection not stopping EMF. should not be run together and segregated as they are different voltage bands, unless all cables are rated for the higher voltage band. all your cabling should be installed to BS7671
  5. https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CACAT5EslashSWA.html?ad_position=1o2&source=adwords&ad_id=45425533757&placement=&kw=&network=g&matchtype=&ad_type=pla&product_id=CACAT5E%2fSWA&product_partition_id=74607868747&test=finalurl_v2&gclid=CPePwP7I88wCFckaGwodw60LAA just dig trench and lay in
  6. Also don't forget the standard wireless PIR's have a slow pickup response.
  7. As i said the time is between 3-15min before the detector becomes active again in auto mode. When I tested, i was getting average 7min.
  8. 3-4 min is wrong. Just put all your PIRs into hybrid, this also saves the most battery life.
  9. You can leave them on always awake.
  10. When in auto mode the detectors go to sleep for 3-15 min after detection, however the system is set. for best results put them in hybrid mode, asleep when not needed and awake when set.
  11. Confused ? If you have programed a Dimension then a G3/G2 will be a walk in the park !
  12. It's all wireless and none of it can be wired. The only one with mains is the little control panel thing with sim card in, which has a mains plug in adapter. Why would you avoid Galaxy ?
  13. Unfortunately there will be no cables to disconnect or reuse as the picture shows the Honeywell lesucre wireless system. I'm not sure but I think the wireless PIR & door contacts can be used with the galaxy wireless range but fitting a pro panel is not for the DIYer. http://www.security.honeywell.com/uk/products/intruder/control-panels/le-sucre/
  14. If you have a read of the manual it states a Guard Access zone will start the part set entry timer when system is part set. I personally use entry/exit 2 attribute and never had a problem.
  15. Are you remembering that it will go to sleep for 3min... when your testing it?
  16. Your down stairs hall PIR needs the "Part set" (1,2 or 3) attribute removing and the "Entry/Exit 2" attribute adding. Your installer should be able to do this in around 5 min or if you have programed it yourself you need to look in the zones section of manual.
  17. James is closer and we also cover your area but it would be 2-3 week until we could fit you in. So if your still stuck give me a bell.
  18. The customer should have a filtered master face plate, so your connection to the voice part will not require any filters nor do the telephones.
  19. It may also help if you use the wireless bell units. I think you may have to try it and see what results you get.
  20. Is that not a fire alarm reg ? I would have to look but it's wine O'clock
  21. No. But you may need to make them look nice and if they/it is installed in an escape route then....BS7671 521.11 comes into play. 521.11 Wiring systems in escape routes521.11.201 Wiring systems in escape routes shall be supported such that they will not be liable to premature collapse in the event of fire. The requirements of Regulation 422.2.1 shall also apply, irrespective of the classification of the conditions for evacuation in an emergency. NOTE 1: Non-metallic cable trunking or other non-metallic means of support can fail when subject to either direct flame or hot products of combustion. This may lead to wiring systems hanging across access or egress routes such that they hinder evacuation and firefighting activities. NOTE 2: This precludes the use of non-metallic cable clips, cable ties or cable trunking as the sole means of support. For example, where non-metallic cable trunking is used, a suitable fire-resistant means of support/retention must be provided to prevent cables falling out in the event of fire.
