  1. I know what you mean mate :). I'm sure they are out there! When I was Service Manager at Group4 we had some cracking engineers. We got some really top clients and can't afford to compromise. Work varies from 2nd fixing intruder, CCTV, Intercom and occasionally fire in London houses so just need decent neat engineers for this. But also some high end integrated work using Lenel, Pro-Watch, Genetec, DVTel etc...

    Fingers crossed.

I've never heard of any of that kit so I'm out :D

  2. Just be careful and choose who you work with

*knackers no idea how to show a vid on here but just google "3 man dead lift" and you will get the idea.

  3. On the subject of keypads and grading I'm still not sure if it's ok to display a systems status at grade 2. I know it can only be displayed for 30 secs at grade 3 but grade 2?

I only ask as I thought it was ok to display at grade 2 but the castle panel we use when defaulted to grade 2 never shows the set status.

  4. If you have a van and all tools I would say £175 local work and any work beyond 20 miles £215

The last sub I did back in January was £190 a day and was for the 5 days.

Just make sure you get everything in writing and a P.O for the job detailing what it involves etc and when you will get paid. Even if the job involves a close friend etc get everything in writing and signed off.

Don't suppose you have an example of "everything in writing" to show us wannabe subbies?

    cheers

  5. They do. They are colour if light allows and go to black and white if dark. Have a couple of built in IR's. You can see the results on this clip. Not bad to say only battery powered.

    Guilty as charged :)

    Lol.

These cameras look like cheap tat to me and would suspected all sorts of lighting issues not to mention data transmission. I'd stick with the monitored option for now "Freddie08" if you want to be reliably informed when an intruder is in your premises. As for the police response side of things, well err maybe...

  6. When we had the contract pabs were fitted in the beer wines and spirits isles. They are only a local alarm which go to customer service desk. Idea is if a member of staff saw someone upto no good. Your most probably notice they have 3 different coloured strobes at the desk to which flash when pressed. One for bws one for cash office and one for tills.

    Who has the contract now?
