As above and from personal experience tenants and tech don't mix and only cause you time, you're just adding to the list of things you are responsible for.
I have a wireless system that's completely portable between properties when they are vacant but bear in mind you will need internet access for notifications/app.
I also have a couple of cheap internet cameras you can place in the property and monitor that way, most nowadays have a motion function.

I've got a load of the ewelink stuff, works well with Alexa (I can almost hear 6WB sighing) for my needs.

Yeah this is the second one we've had at home, probably had them around 7 years too, really nice quality and feel ime.

They've been obsolete for years, you may drop on a second hand one but could be back to square one.
Better updating the system to something more modern imo.

They'd wired some, so yeah probably lol. It was discovered pretty quickly tbf.

Once went to a new, large secondary school where the subbies had just screwed up the detection and not wired it. Must have been 30 detectors in total.
