An pure example imho, i have said it before - about time the inspectorates stood up and told APCO it is 'us' the alarm trade who now how best to electonicaly protect vulnerable targets.
Nothing to do with ACPO, BS8243 was mainly written by installers & inspectorates, we have always had code and fob as an option as it is more secure. If you want to get involved join the BSIA and get your voice heard.

Last time you offered a free beer the room was occupied so we could not go in.
The option was to go outside. ~Which was not possible as you were "on duty" .
So now you owe some of us 2 beers and 4 in compensation
At least you got the beer, and i am sure you enjoyed it on the way home

TBH for us it is great, we deal all over the world now, and IFSEC is cheaper to meet all of our overseas customers than getting on aeroplanes, and most of them come over, I like it to put faces to names like I did with some of the guys on here a couple of years ago, so come on guys, last IFSEC in Brum get your buts down to our stand and grab a free beer.

Not fancy a couple of days in the big city? I'd be more likely to go with it being in London.
That's part of the reason i suspect, but mainly for EU visitors, i wonder what Brum will be like this year

We like trouble at BSIA, I and others like a bit of disruption, make for interesting meetings, and gets things done, the old ways have to change, and so do the people involved the EU is going to stop all this national requirements nonsense and I for one fully support it
