Quoting for my third CCTV install (I'm an electrician), customer wants picture in picture.
Customer deals in fencing materials, timber, etc. His house backs onto his yard.
Mounting a couple of cameras on the gable end of his house will cover the yard fine, DVR and monitor to go in kitchen (which doubles as an office), all good.
He would like picture in a picture image on his living room TV. We're are all digital around here now, and he has Sky+ on the TV he wants to display the CCTV image as picture in picture.
Any ideas?

Just make sure his TV does PIP from an AV source as some only do PIP on TV tuner channels
Other way is set up a redwall / IR Beams and use it to trigger the Scart switch function on TV but remember to put a switch to disable that function so it isnt switchin all the time when he isnt wanting to be watching it, at least he'll get full screen picture when it flicks over

Another other way is to take his composite sky signal to the DVR on a spare channel (set not to record) and use the PIP on the DVR.
If there are enough composite inputs you can have (full screen sky / full screen cctv / PIP).
This may require a good few cables between the DVR and the Sky box tho (3/4 RG's).
Is it Sky HD or SD?
