I am in the trade, so if you got any recs as to where to get 'em at a good price, let me know (by priv msg though so as not to violate forum rules). Thanks muchly!! Have good weekend all! Hi Rockford We are at this moment fitting Our first power dome camera. we unpacked the bits read the manual assembled the bits in the workshop plugged in a monitor it worked! We are using it direct to a Vista keyboard so I don't Know much about that protocol but it does work as part of a Baxall matrix system This is a good point as when the system is upgraded we will probably fit a vista triplex dvr which can be partially controlled by the npx keyboard As for the vista brand we have had minor problems in the past but Norbain have always sorted them quickly and efficiently that's what you pay for: Service Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9290-are-vista-ptz-domes-any-good/#findComment-86407 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Hi Rockford, Thought I would update you on our vista power dome installation. The job was for a high school to monitor areas the teachers could not monitor all the time The dome was mounted on an altron 4.5m tower fitted by local civil engineers and the remote psu fitted 30m away in a class room the 240 volts supplied by the schools approved electrician. we used the nvt power dome transmitter connected to a cat 5 cable run to the class room here we picked up 2 spare pairs on the internal telecoms net work which went back to the control room. End result a customer over the moon and and an order for 7 more static domes Edited February 22, 200620 yr by toenee Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9290-are-vista-ptz-domes-any-good/#findComment-87837 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Given that no one has anything bad to say about them really, I think we'll be going with them on the project I had in mind... We'll be using fifty and they must be totally 150% reliable!!! Something else I didn't ask and wish I had, is: do they have their own patrol setting in them that once configured will opperate of its own accord (ie without an RS485 controller connected)? Thanks! Hi Rockford My Boss asked me the same question and as I could not see why we would need to in our installation I didn't do any research but if you ring 01253894488 and ask for cctv tech you will get a very helpful engineer. The learn patrols and positions are programed in to the camera by a rs 485 key board and stored on the camera As for fitting 50 any wholesaler or manafacturer is going to fall all over you with help and I would expect a very good price to be offered Edited February 23, 200620 yr by toenee Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9290-are-vista-ptz-domes-any-good/#findComment-88036 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
