October 14, 200520 yr comment_72154 Hello, Could anyone help please, Last week our un-manned warehouse was broken into and a large amount of goods stolen. We later retrieved 99% of the stolen goods back, luckily. At the moment the warehouse is un-alarmed, my boss has asked me to put together a security system and install along with the help of our site electricians. What i need is advice...It is a large warehouse 'L' shaped, would you recommend wireless or a fixed alarm? I also wanted a covert alarm, by this I mean that if someone entered the warehouse instead of an alarm sounding it would trigger and dial a GSM autodialer using the mobile phone networks and send messages or play a message. What is the best PIR's to use and what is the max detection distance of a pir?. Lastly our budget is not great just about £1000. Does anyone have any recommendations or websites..Thank you in advance Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/7822-help-burglary/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 My advice, get in a security company to properly asses your building and take a system on a lease. October 15, 200520 yr comment_72170 To do what you want isnt as simple as whats the best sensors to fit, its a lot more complicated than that. You really need a proffesional company in to do this for you. Its nigh impossible to tell you what you need or advise you correctly without seeing the situation. CLICK HERE? for a list of installers who frequent this forum, they are listed in police areas, there should be one near you. October 16, 200520 yr comment_72361 For £1000 you should be able to get a good system from one of us, if you put your location on here I'm sure someone will give you a free quote and leave the sparkies well alone would be my advice!!! October 16, 200520 yr comment_72366 With the new regulations that came in on 1st October it sounds like you might require a Grade 3 system if this is the case then its a specialist job which can only be done by approved companies. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
