Need an external pir detector (redwall pricey)

can any one recommend a good reliable alternative to the redwall detectors to trigger cctv for home use .....coverage 15M max 12vdc prefer but consider other..

Are they the Crow D&D detector? They are quite good for their price. Only problem is that their range decreases sharply over about a 3 year timespan if out with the elements. The thin lens tends to be easy to damage from stones and sticks and the likes. Had a few where the lens has become brittle and one or two where the piro has bubbled on its surface. Just swap like for like when this happens. They do serve well if serviced regularly.

You get what you pay for to be honest. Like anything in the security industry. Quality has a price.

Possibly the MRX ones, used a few in the past they seem to be good stuff. The MRX220 suffers from not having much of a left/right swivel though.

Edit: GJD are decent enough for home use, go for the Elite though.
