baywatch Posted September 27, 2005 Share Posted September 27, 2005 We did a job recently for Trinity House & we were talking about the I.R. problem with spiders. It seems they have some GPS equipment that also has spider problems & they get over it using some type of sticky tape, I assume some type of double sided. Waiting for them to get me some to test. Many years ago we used to use a very messy tape called denso tape for temporary waterproofing, I don't know how that would work? Not very pretty tho. ( For internal attacks,as in egress to the interior of the equipment) Blimey its ISO night and cross the t`s and dot the I`s. Now i know why it was such a PITA There is a spray from most supermarkets that is for ants ect and thats good, unless its washed off all the time.But it keeps the ikkle ones from growing in the seals.
