Have you checked all the cabling is up to scratch? Voltages on panels, detectors, line, etc? Have you checked for induced AC? Is there anything that may be causing interference? Is there any pattern to the activations?

Failing checks like the ones above, I'd probably start swapping things in a methodical order, to see if the fault followed.

Swap the biscuits, ifthe problem follows the biscuit, it's likely to be the biscuit at fault, or possibly the node/panel seeing it properly.

This is basic stuff, though. others are better advised about iD.

If you don't know......ask.

Hi there

Are the chips that are droping the tampers on the same leg?

If so how far from the panel are they?

Has the system got an ID cap at its furthest point (think its a 47nf capasitor) If not menvier ID can sometimes drop a tamper or more if this is not fitted.

I would surjest that you speak to menvier tech, while on site. The down side is they like to recomend that you do a factory restart on the panel. (this does normally sort out a lot of ghost signals the panel may get)

R U using the new ID+ Biscuits..?

These new Biscuits are NOT compatible with pre may 2004, 690 ID control panels or TS900 ID Nodes.

Menvier have had to make component modifications to the PCB

Now I didn't know that! (Dave's post)
I didn`t till I had a look through some Tech Bulletins. And I believe all panels after may 2004 should now be OK.

Hi Guy's,

So what do you have to do now (Change Panels to new ones) ? or are the old biscuits still available ?

This could be a costly exercise

or are the old biscuits still available ?
If your very lucky, you might get hold of some old biscuits.

But since production of them was stopped last year stocks of any old biscuits are now almost non-existant.

cheers Dave ,

Looks like the boss is in for a bit of a shock.

I found out the hard way the ID + don't work on some Castle Panels, I,m asuming it's the same for the Karizma,s. etc

I,m asuming it's the same for the Karizma,s. etc

Like you, I assume that these new ID+ Biscuits may not be 100% compatable with a lot of equipment manufactured prior to late last year.
