but how can renting be much of an asset to the company. Surely after 5yrs the panel would be no good to use elsewhere.

Especially now with the new regs. None of the Existings panels will comply come September.

Suppose they can be used for repairs.

I was reading (//.National Installer.//'s www I think) and saw that one of the Police Forces up North was considering enforcing that all older panels that can't signal a confirmed activation should be upgraded to do so in order to continue having their response.

I think it was put off for a while, but I was reading elsewhere that this policy may be considered and enforced Nationwide.

I wonder how that would affect some of the Nationals & the other firms that are leasing the systems? Who would end up paying for the upgrade, firm or client? :whistle:

I think you'll find that they are doing this in Nottingham Constabulary as a trial, and if successful it will be applied nationwide.

Get ready for all the panel upgrades boys. B)
