January 31, 200521 yr comment_38949 JVC reccomend that use a cable of 1mm or greater diameter for up to 100metres, I would use a two core flexible mains type cable. January 31, 200521 yr comment_38980 if your psu has output for dome and heater i would use 1.5mm 4 core mains flex. A pair for each, that way if you loose one u wont loose the other.chris 38980[/snapback] and i would use 2.5mm 40 core mains flex. A (couple of) pair ('s) ( and few extra ) for each. that way if you loose one ( ore ten ) you wont loose the rest. houhou any cable somehow flexible will do if its cores has enough diameter. 1.5mm2 is enough indeed with cable lenght of 20-30m housty.. from where are you? didn't know that meter is an imperial unit..!!?? January 31, 200521 yr comment_38996 and i would use 2.5mm 40 core mains flex. and you would need a team to put it on the cable jacks and run it off. 40 core Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/4947-powering-speed-domes/#findComment-38996 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 January 31, 200521 yr comment_38999 .75 is probably the biggest I would use, Really you want to look at the maximum current drawn from the device you are powering, and the maximum current the power supply can provide then use a suitable cable to carry the power. I'd probably use 2 or 3 core .5 or .75 flex. If you dont use the cable that the manufacturer specifies as a minimum, you will get into warranty problems if it ever goes wrong.
