Hi, I don't tend to ask for help on anything fire/security but find myself stuck, I have a pyronix Enforcer panel and it keeps getting a mains absent fault with the first warning light on top of the panel. Then it has shown a control panel - mains fail fault with the 4th light on at the top, I have replaced the panel but still same issue, client got a spark out to run a new cable from the board next to the panel and put in a new spur, checked voltage and power to system, I also checked voltages when there and no drop, 240v at mains/spur side and 13-15v at Stepdown for panel side, anybody ever had this issue? Need this sorted ASAP and it's doing my head in now. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

What does the log show ? Times etc?

Shows this, at the time I was away the client said that the panel showed mains absent but wasn't on the log until later when he turned the spur off to test, but it's not there at all

I would be contacting the electric company to log the voltage and ask them why it's dropping out , they have equipment for this

Maybe something in the building is dropping it out ?

Hence I thought maybe if you have a pattern on the mains failures , new panel means you don't have the log for the old one ?

Changing panel proves it's not you , client invoice also getting ready right? Lol side point that

Yeah he said he got an electrician out to fit a direct new spur next to panel and same issue, told me he put his meter on it at the spur and it read 240v but thought he'd have at least done more tests whilst he was there.

No log for old one no, just this one but it's about the same frequency so keeps dropping off and restoring, thought maybe a dodgy spark had tapped off of a light switch and when the switch was flicked it was dropping power to the panel then turning it on again restored power but the new spur disproves that.

What's the mains fault delay set to? Can you change it on this panel ?

Maybe change to maximum, might not be much but enough , I can't see you log clearly so don't see how long or quick it restores

Is enforcer only panel you have ?

Seems to me it's electrical problem and the panel is picking up on it

Yes just an enforcer, I did say this to the client but his "electrician" said it's fine 🤔can't find a mains fault delay on these panels at all, if there was a way of turning off the fault monitoring I would but going to guess unless soldering is required I'm gubbed.

Its unlikely to be the power to the house failing as the customer would notice clocks not working etc.

Could be an induced problem on the data line check for AC noise set meter to ac put one lead on earth the other on 12vdc anything over 5v is a problem.

Do you have any psu's?  Are they commoned up properly ?

Whats the current draw? Was this a panel upgrade from an old Galaxy or something? The switch mode PSU's are not as forgiving as the older transformer style if your drawing too much the panel will do this.

Not sure if the Pyronix uses resettable fuses but if your getting intermittent shorts on the 12vdc Aux this could cause the PSU to overload before the Aux fuse and then it all resets

You could try the panel on a temporary flying mains lead and plug it in to the nearest 3 pin plug socket.

When you changed the panel did you change the RKP?

If none of the above fix it wire rkp directly to panel on a short lead.

If still a problem, Ive heard good things about Orisec
