kal87
Hi all. I have just moved into a new property and we have a old A1 AJ600N security alarm which has not been working for a while now according to the previous owner. There is power to the alarm. I want to remove and decommision this alarm completely. The fused spur is located near the keypad downstairs which can be seen in the photo. Would there be another fused spur near the control panel. From what ive been reading online alot of people say the spur is near the control panel, and so i am wondering if there will be 2? I am yet to find the control panel as I believe it may be in the loft. Any instructions on how to remove would be much appreciated Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/47378-how-to-remove-a1-aj600n/ Share on other sites

kal87
Any advise on how to remove this alarm. I know i would need to remove the fuse and flex cabke from the spur, but is this enough or would i need to remove wire from consumer unit. The alarm shares a breaker in the consumer unit with smoke detectors. Would i need to remove the wire for the alarm in the consumer unit, if so how would I identify the wire for the alarm and smoke detectors which share the same breaker. Also, the wires for the sensors do I just cut and push into the wall after control panel is removed. PeterJames
I'd start at the external and internal Sounders in that order, Once you have removed those then you can down power and remove the rest Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/47378-how-to-remove-a1-aj600n/#findComment-530866 Share on other sites
