Pyronix Databell E

Featured Replies

I have installed a Texacom Veritas Compact panel with a Pyronix Databell E. It is a simple system for my outbuildings so I dont need to install to Grade 2 or 3 (which the latest databell will accommodate).  So i have ommitted the resisters on the bell activation and also not connected the fault monitoring terminals and associated resisters to link to the tamper circuit.  I khave followed the instructions and wired up with the bell cover open to prevent activation, however when i close the cover the siren starts and will not reset. I have checked the tamper circuit for continuity and it is good. all the connections are correct SAB - A.B.C.D.S.  Do I still need to install the 470ohm resister on the bell circuit?

Deltabell E requires nothing apart from a negative link

Blah

It's grade 3 probably and requires the resistor to the positive?

That's what I remember from some clever dude in Birmingham told me...👍🏽
