Hello everyone, I joined this site on my search for a cctv installation course. 

I currently work in the security industry for a company that specialises in wireless monitored alarm systems and I'm looking to expand my knowledge by sitting a cctv training course. 

If anyone has sat or knows of a course that would be suitable for a complete novice? Something that will give me adequate knowledge in the design installation and maintenance. 

I have been looking at the TAVCOM 5 day course but have been reading in reviews that the btec lvl3 qualification they give may not be recognised by some governing bodies.  Not sure how true this is?

Well done, its something your employer should be doing, its good to see that you are motivated to do it yourself though. Maybe you should be looking for a proper apprenticeship with a company that does more than just wireless tat
