Honeywell Galaxy G2-20 RF Jam Error

Featured Replies

Hi,

8 years ago I installed a Honeywell Galaxy G2-20 (including a RIO and a couple of wireless PIRs) and have enjoyed faultless service from it until recently.  I now regularly (3 or 4 times a day) get an RF Jam error.

Any ideas what the cause could be and what I can do about it?  I've read the manual and other than configuring the 'stop set' to allow you to set the alarm with the fault condition unacknowledged I can't see any settings which might help

Thanks in advance,

Binney

Have you installed anything else recently?

Anything wireless ?

You could try moving the rf module

However what is the exact jam error?

The wireless airspace is ever changing.

Its telling you it has detected something that may jam a detector.

Probably some cheap and nasty rf thing nearby unless you have added something yourself.

Modern RF gear will channel hop when it detects this, i dont think the honeywell rf can do this.
