How to replace a PIR Motion Sensor?

Recommended Posts

I have a Veritas 8. One of the PIR sensors does light up but it doesnt activate the alarm. So i'm thinking it needs replacing?

Is this simple to do? Any guidance would be appreciated

Thanks

Not necessarily the detector, it may be that its not programmed correctly, it may be that its linked out in the panel, or a cable fault.

What PIR is it , main thing is not shorting the power out and blowing a fuse

As above it could be that your cable is damaged , so first thing would be to get the cover off, and see with a meter if power is available at the power terminals inside the PIR

Then go down the PIR replacement route
