March 26, 200521 yr comment_45781 Wasn't Wickes's selling the non NVM Rascal panels about 8 years ago? 32742[/snapback] Im sure a few years ago I saw one Wickes alarm kit with an Elmdene Prima external... Or maybe a 'dummy' with a sound bomb strapped inside like those apalling A1 kits?! Stu. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/4289-wickes-burgular-alarm/page/3/#findComment-45781 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 March 27, 200521 yr comment_45825 Hi there. Please can someone sell me or help me find a PCB for a Wickes wired burgular alarm system. The unit is about 8 years old and at the time Wickes sold a 12 button control panel and a 9 button panel unit. I have a 12 button unit which has been extremely reliable but now has problems. Having taken out the PCB a small area of the circuit board has burnt out where the 12v input enters the board. I have contacted the manufactures (GET PLC) who no longer have complete 12 button type wired alarm control panels or PCB for the same. I know its a bit of a long shot but could someone out there advise where I might get a spare part or panel, or if you have an old one in your store/junk box you could sell to me. Thanks! Alan Marlow Northampton marlow@tesco.net Hi Alan,I wonder if you (or anyone else) can help me, I have inherited a similar alarm to yours but do not have an instruction book / wiring diagram and wondered if you had one that I could copy.ketteringgrassroots@ntlworld.com Many thanks in anticipation. You wont be able to get another PCB, the best course of action is to update the panel with a new one. For what it would cost to buy a replacement PCB (even if they were available) you could buy a better panel. Try wickes for a manual. Colin.
