Hi, I have been asked by a friend for a video doorbell and was wondering if anyone has installed the HIK one and what you thought.

There's a thread somewhere on the dark side about this lol

Some say hik drops out but more likely the router WiFi

Chinese makes work just as good from eBay

Comlit if you got more money

And then the discussion started about ring , ring is as easy as it gets

Most of them have motion but unless it's sighted well it will trigger on everything, some turn sensitivity right down and say it helps

Thanks for reply...yea I heard some mixed things about HIK one..But I do like the ring one and the pro which I can run a cable to power feed it sounds good to me.

Thanks

i do like how they add 'pro' to it. It's still a diy product that is obviously vulnerable to attack.
