Nick_A
Hello, I have recently moved into a house and noticed that I have one permanently lit green LED on the external bell box. Neighbors systems seem to have 2 leds which alternate. Any idea what causes this? The alarm is a Veritas 8 with telecom bell boxes. Is that enough to go on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. PeterJames
Some have flashing lights some dont it depends on the make, so long as there are no fault messages on your keypad nothing to worry about. I would recommend that you look into a service contract in any case though. 1 Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42536-problem-with-bell-box-leds/#findComment-480871 Share on other sites

I only noticed as a few of the neighbors have the same systems and theirs all have an alternating flash. PeterJames
They are deterrant LEDS the idea is so that burglars see that the bell box is real (If they look that is) different manufacturers have different ideas on what works best, you can even have a fully back lit box now (not to everybody's taste). sixwheeledbeast
If it's a "Texecom" box one solid light indicates a fault. It may not be a Texecom one, however possibly a good idea to have your system checked over if it hasn't been done. 1 Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42536-problem-with-bell-box-leds/#findComment-480874 Share on other sites
