I-on16 control panel lid open

Featured Replies

I've just moved into a new house which has an i-on16 system installed, the keypads are reporting that the control panel is open and I have been unable to find any documentation that shows you how to reset this. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

It is very easy to close these lids up without the tamper being closed, esp. if the original screws have been lost.

I don't fit the 16 myself but the plastic case on the 40 / 40H / 30R is identical.

Or just as easy, as the tamper switch plugs in via a molex (minature plug) for an engineer in a hurry to leave it off.

As Al, have a look at the main unit and let us know...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

The panel on the control box is fully closed. Is there a way to open the control panel without setting the alarm off to check?

If you have user code then shouldn't matter because panel is already reporting it's open ?

If I remember right "system tampers" are defaulted as engineer reset. You will need the engineers code to reset the system tamper.
