Staniel
I've just moved into a new house which has an i-on16 system installed, the keypads are reporting that the control panel is open and I have been unable to find any documentation that shows you how to reset this. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41529-i-on16-control-panel-lid-open/ Share on other sites
al-yeti
Is it open? Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41529-i-on16-control-panel-lid-open/#findComment-468127 Share on other sites
datadiffusion
It is very easy to close these lids up without the tamper being closed, esp. if the original screws have been lost. I don't fit the 16 myself but the plastic case on the 40 / 40H / 30R is identical. Or just as easy, as the tamper switch plugs in via a molex (minature plug) for an engineer in a hurry to leave it off. As Al, have a look at the main unit and let us know... Staniel
The panel on the control box is fully closed. Is there a way to open the control panel without setting the alarm off to check? Amps
If I remember right "system tampers" are defaulted as engineer reset. You will need the engineers code to reset the system tamper. Is reporting open same as reset needed , thought message goes but red light stays in until reset Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41529-i-on16-control-panel-lid-open/#findComment-468138 Share on other sites
