Customer wants a fire alarm installed in the barn, anyone know of any smoke heads that can be wired into a alarm panel?

Sorry i've given wrong info, i've informed customer this wont make it a fire alarm but they want a smoke head to cover the barn where hay is going to be stored. What's should I be looking for smoke head wise?

id of thought dust would be an issue. But if its large and serviced id like a beam but never done it. It will be impossible to service point detectors

and if you do have beam sensors, tell the sparky up the top pulling in cables before he moves in front and ends up evacuating the building... twice...

I reckon the cow will recover

Set up correctly the beam should go into fault if fully blocked.

no idea how they are supposed to work, not something i do. all i know was fire alarm sounded, we came down and then workshop manager told us the fire alarm was there and he had forgotten to disable it when we started work

It's possible if partly blocked to trigger fire condition.

possibility. we were moving around on top of a cherry picker fixing some cables to the girder so may have partially blocked it. didnt help that after we were allowed back in, it didnt get bypassed  so after a few minutes of getting back to where we were, it was back down and out the building again... CEO wasnt very happy
