Maybe no longer living in Bristol?

Anyway I agree, get it serviced and operational or get it decommissioned. Leaving it alone is likely to cause you grief, usually at an inconvenient time.

Thanks all - will continue phoning around alarm companies tomorrow and see if anyone actually wants the job of decommissioning it all. 

Would have thought it would be relatively easy money - but 5 companies today so far not interested...
