The sas assembly is wired conventionally Georg.  :yes:

The pcb in the bell box is probably a nice white/green furry mess and the tracks are shorting because of the corrosion.  :no:

SAS=Self Actuating Siren

or the older type, the SAB.

SAB=Self Actuating Bell

You may also see it described as a Self ACTIVATING Bell.

Either can be used but most people use activating.

definitely water damage to the bell. The ATI 6000 do/did it quite a lot.

Or Aritech 290's can have cone problems.

That would be a a pcb suffering from water ingress not the cone itself.

What kind of person then uses "actuating" :question:

I know ian but if its losing voltage and the cones knackered it will self actuate and click
