December 7, 201510 yr comment_436409 Don't use HIK at the mo, we use genie which is ok in the main but a bit limited in its range Been asked for audio recording, I'm pretty sure HIK do IP cams with mics?? If so, what do I need camera wise as its a bloody part number mine field! Wanting 2mp VF domes ideally Also I presume the recorder needs to be audio compatible, again anything I need to make sure the part number has for it to be compatible Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39456-hik-ip/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 January 4, 201610 yr comment_437574 Hik built in mics are ****, at least on the fisheyes and the 2542fwd-is i have found, better going for the ones with the audio inputs and outputs and fitting an external mic. Just fitted a load of ds-2cd2142fwd-is with little white variable gain mics, quality sound off them. If you pick up a hum power the mic off a seperate psu. Any hik nvr will record audio. 2722fwd-is is a 2mp vf with audio io but i always find the fixed lens give a better picture Edited January 4, 201610 yr by petrolhead Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39456-hik-ip/#findComment-437574 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
