is it possible to default ENG code on G3 the same was as the older panels ?

or do you have to crash the lot.

the g3 was the replacement to the classic. Later became the dimension. There was g2 variants to but no not on the older panels

ok thanks, is the only way to save existing programming downloading onto laptop and then uploading after crashing ?

got a takeover to do and I was told the type of galaxy cannot be defaulted the way I know.

if your doing a takeover never assume the current programming is correct. Wipe it and program it your way so you know its right. There is usually a reason its a takeover

cheers will do , just wanted to know if it could be done by just defaulting codes as I wasn't aware you couldn't.

to be honest I thought there was a back door, but this isn't trade....

James is right though. (edit: ref takeover prog)

If the panel has been locked down properly, then you will not be able to connect with RSS. The virtual keypad 'backdoor' is not a back door and the pin should also have been changed if the panel is locked down.

Other than that, it requires specialist equipment to interface with the Atmel CPU. Easier to display the zones, note them and then default.
