Scantronic 9200 Replacement

Featured Replies

Hi

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help in advance.

My parents have just had a toilet made under the stairs, my friend who is an electrician disconnected the old 9200 panel.

I am just wondering what panel you guys would reccomend me to buy?

I am aware we may need to change the PRI sensors and door magnets etc.

I would like the new system to be hardwired as I beleve we can use all the existing wires?

Any advise would be helpful

Thanks again Eng

Well there are plenty of options if you want an on board keypad then you can get if you want another scantronic then a 9448 would be ok or a gardtec but if you want a separate keypad (rkp) then scantronic, pyronix, honeywell galaxy, gardtec and texecom all make good stuff so use the makes from this post and look around and the pir's will be ok if they work.

Thanks for your reply.

As the 9200 was massive it was hidden under the stairs.

We want a small new modern lcd keypad, i will have a look at your suggestions, thanks.

Is ebay a safe bet to purchase these kits/panels?

Everything worked fine with the original system it was just the scantronic box being to big and being needed to be moved.

Thanks mate

Ebay would be an ok place to buy alarms the 9200 was a great panel I have one in my garage I would recommend a scantronic 9651 this would be perfect for you as you want an lcd screen or even look at menvier alarms they are also very good

Thanks GSD, I have found the following on secuirty warehouses website..

http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_102_41&products_id=811

Seems decent enough and has good reviews, I will also check the Menvier alarms out as mentioned.

Thanks for all the help guys.

For a basic system with built in autodialler have a look at the Gardtec CPX. Fitted them for years.
