We are about to start a IP CCTV job and have quoted 4 x Axis P8221 8 ch I/O mods for the alarms.

Has anyone used a more cost effective unit that will do the same thing?

I am sure there must be something out there for less £££ than the axis units, although we have fitted quite a few P8221's in the past and found them very good.

What's the cost of the Axis IO units

£275 ea?

Not far off. I nearly fell off my seat when the guy at the axis training course explained there was currently no integration between camera station and the audio capability of their own I.O units...
