Belden or equivalent. It's designed that way for a reason. Whilst cat5 works, it is only for a short time. Problems start to manifest themselves as soon as any servicing/additions/mods need to be done. And it's never the original guy installing who has to sort it. Take the example above with the mag locks. Its wire/cable. It works on install. Give it 6 months and them doors will need rewiring.
