Honeywell Galaxy G2-20 - What Happens After Bells Time Out?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've recently completed the installation of a Honeywell Galaxy G2-20 and am just trying to run through as many 'what if' scenarios as I can to make sure I've configured everything correctly.

One thing I'm not sure of is what happens when the alarm has been triggered and the bells have timed out?  Does the alarm simply re-arm itself and continue as normal or is there a limit on the number of times the bells can sound before a user reset is required?

I've read the manual extensively and can't find any configuration parameters concerning this, have I missed anything?  Ordinarily I'd just give it a try and test it out for myself but I think that the neighbours might not appreciate it in this case!

Thanks in advance for any help,

Martin

Zone trigger causes the bell timer to start counting down, Another trigger causes the bell timer to restart.  Rinse and repeat until someone rips the siren off the wall :)

If not connected to an ARC or self monitoring setup and DD243 is not a requirement, you can set menu option 51.55.6 - Rearm mode from 'On confirm' to 'on bell-timeout'.  Once set, you can setup 51.9 (zone lockout) to allow up to 9 zone triggers from each individual zone before that zone is automatically omitted from the system.
