Accord Xpc Flashing Tamper Sign

Featured Replies

Hi,

Total newbie and novice to all this.

I've recently had to do a full reset of the system to find reset the engineer code as it was lost/forgotten.

I've since had a flashing bell sign on the keypad and I've tracked it to be the battery tamper.

I've took a picture of the board as there is a light by the side of the terminal where the battery connects.

Can anyone help as I'm unable to use my alarm

Flashing bell is a tamper, check you have closed the panel lid correctly also check the spring and white bit of platic is still on the tamper switch (tamper switch is a black button in the mid hottom of the main pcb)

Hi, Thanks for the reply

I've checked all that and it's still the same, doing my head in now as I know it's going to be something simple to fix

Close the panel lid slowly and check you can hear the tamper switch click those panels did have a habit of the switch jamming they also tended to have faulty tamper switches on times aswell, if its only a flashing bell its 1 of 3 things that could be in tamper either panel, keypad or external siren

Thanks Andy, it was the tamper switch on the board that was jammed.

Common fault with the old accord

Hiya.. seem to be having a problem much the same after changing the battery.

I've done this before and noted how to reset.. but the panel flashes a bell and nothing seems to clear it.. tried your above fix and still the same.. any other ideas would be appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

Or the switch in panel has failed. Stuff fails especially when it's that old. Maybe plan for a refresh
