Try this:

User codes

RESET - PROG FUNCTION - USER CODE (1234)

The DAY LED will flash.

Followed by: -

1 to set NEW USER CODE. 4 zones will illuminate. Key in new 4-digit code. Each digit extinguishes a zone LED.

On the final digit the panel will sound a two-tone acceptance bleep. PROG FUNTION to store.

2 to set CHIME on or off for each zone. Handy for front and back door zones but can be a nuisance on frequent triggered zones. PROG FUNTION to store.

3 to TEST EXTERNAL SIREN/ STROBE (the day LED will remain on) then :-

1 to test / silence SIREN or 2 to test STROBE.

RESET to enter normal mode.

Hope this helps.

Hiya, I have a problem with an A1 and them quotes are coming in handy, I need to reprogram it, without any manual!!!!!! AHHHHHHH horrible A1 thingys!!

I'm very tempted to rip it out and stick in a scanny 9448.

Any help would be appreciated before I cost my uncle 40 quid :->

You'd be better ripping it out and replacing it with something that works properly mate.

Unfortunately we are unable to give out engineering manuals on the forum.

Good idea, do that. I don't even bother attemptimg to get the A1 doobries up and running, if they've stopped doing something, they go in the bin.
