well I have to say the 10 meg up that tsi is currently on seems to work well enough. Ill move it to our bigger servers but there seems little point.

All running on a little hp microserver too for now.

10Mb as in leased line / EFM / FTTC?

As you say, works fine even with the number of tsi users.

 

Running it systems of domestic broadband in a garage seems quite viable nowadays. Especially as FTTC has up to 20Mb upstream.

Just think, you could lead the way in an alarm signalling revolution by putting a couple of servers in your garage with a FTTC connection. No need for any of this expensive leased line stuff.

I think like the old direct lines for signalling if you had enough servers dotted in different locations etc it would be more reliable overall
