Texecom Premier 816 With Multiple Bell Boxes

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to install 2 or more bell boxes to a Texecom Premier 816 (with uk bell module) without having to use SCB mode, if I install an additional 12v power supply?

If so, what's the best way to connect it?

Sorry if this is a simple question with an obvious answer

Many thanks for that sixwheeledbeast!

I've got a elmdene PSU with battery backup, would it be best practise to make all the connections within the Texecom control unit?

Thanks again!

Easiest way is with a Texecom PSU Expander

Power from PSU

Outputs from Expander

Aux Input for Tamper

:)

And yes do not common the positive!!!

Ah sorry I've only just seen this... Would you say the Texecom PSU would be a better option than the Elmdene?

Easier to wire as long as you remember to program the expander output and tamper correctly.

If you use the PSU200XP method.

Bell 1 on the panel wired normally, Bell 2 on the PSU wired normally (Tamper in Aux Input, Trigger in output 8).

Connect only Negative, T, and R on the network between the Panel and PSU Expander.

If you use the elmdene PSU it would need to be tampered. Best way definetely the texecom PSU expander. Unswitched fuse spur to power the PSU
