J_G
Not sure wether this is the right section to post in but... Im newish to PA Systems, and was wondering the best way to wire this system? 1 x Rack & Amps 1 x Touchsceen Mic 1 x DAB radio 1 x 5CD Changer 2 x Mute Swiches 2 x remote CD inputs 2 x Remote Mic Inputs 39 Ceiling Speakers (music Quality) 18 Cabinet Speakers (music Quality) And what cable to use? There is 8 zones on the PA system, presumably they all need to be wired seperately back to the amplifier?
james.wilson
Are you using 100v line? I would expect you will be using cat5 and baluns for the remote stuff and then twin flex for the speakers. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. breff
I would have thought anything being used as an input (ie mic or cd) should be wired in screened audio cable The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
fozzies
Depends on the technology used breff. it used to be mic cable, but some kit these days uses rs485, so cat5 could be right. i dread the thought of installing a pa system without proper planning, if it were merely a bgm system then at least you couldnt get sued if someone didnt hear the pa announcement sayin run run run
