Galaxy 18 To Dial Mobile ?

Featured Replies

I have a ex ADT galaxy 18, Chip V2.31 ADT, which I can get to call my Mobile, but it will ring it 10 times on each alarm activation. I have all the codes, and I am able to programme it OK.

I believe the ADT panels have a restricted menu as I cant access all the items. I read somewhere a while ago that I need a later version (Ver 4 something)to get full control of the Dialler, but I am not sure whether it is Ver 4 of the dialler or the motherboard I need ? The Dialler is V4.04 (I believe)

I have got a spare G18 board with a V4.06 chip on it, will this help ?

Can I just swap the chip over, or do I need to change the whole board (I know it would need to reprogrammed) ?

Thanks in advance

Keith

less hassle to use a speech dialer

Yes, I agree. I did look at the Menvier SD1+, but I am off work at the moment due to surgery, and looking for things to amuse me. The cost was also a factor unless anyone has one going cheap ?

The "dailer" on panel is expecting an alarm reciever to answer the call. It will keep dailing the number for the number of attemps programmed untill it gives up.

Buy a speed dailer =]
