Cannot Reset Regal Safe Rs125

Featured Replies

Hi all I have been having an ongoing issue with my regal safe alarm. Kept saying ext lock out on display. Now it shows comms fuse on display.

Innate checked all fuses and they were fine but when I disconnected the power plug on the rear panel the reset light and engineer light came on and now it does nothing when I enter the engineer code on the key pad. I have also pressed the reset button on the side and still nothing?

Any ideas how to reset this.

how did you test the fuse? sometimes they can look ok put still be failed.

Hi . I held them up to the light I am not familiar with alarm systems but was giving it a go as I had resettle engineer code in the past when i replaced the strobe a few years back. . I have some spares so could swap them all out. If it's defaulted back o factory settings how can I reset it? To be it's about 15 years old and has only just started playing up. It's still sounding the keypad buzzer so I have had to remove the fuse to shut it up.

Any ideas what the factory code would be?

Or any idea how much a replacement panel would be I have three door sensors 8 pirs and a 2 window shock detectors at present .

you need 13 zones min then.

Plenty of panels will do that. depends on budget, features etc.

Regal safe were not the best panel to program when they were new, even for the experienced engineers, my recommendation would be to replace it with something more suited to DIY

I`n trying to rememeber how to programme it and its not coming back too easilly!

Time it was upgraded TBH.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm thinking it's time for a replacement. Just wanted to reset it in the mean time. I only unplugged the red black wires and plug from the display panel to the rear panel. And the rear had battery back up so shouldn't have lost it's memory.

Just wanted a reliable panel that's not to difficult to programme.

Tbh 15 years is a good 'innings' for a control panel, nany last longer ithers shorter.

things have moved on a pace and for the better in that time. I'm a GardTec fan but the G595 IMHO is a bit tricky for DIY, so look i suggest at texecom in your case, or get a pro install.
