Boss Code For Veritas 8C

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I'm new to the forum but been an installer for 20 years. Recently took over a system at a friend's new house, which has an existing Texecom Veritas 8C control panel. Just added 3 circuits to it and, as the existing engineer code is unknown, returned the panel to factory defaults. Unfortunately, the engineer code has been locked and requires a 'Boss' code to unlock it. Could anyone PM me with the details please, or do I have to go via the manufacturer? Usually use Scanny/Menvier, and never had a Veritas code 'locked' before. Thanks in advance.

it`s scrap.......... best is to try and use defaults but be aware no exit time on part set IIRC

If the 'engineer' code was locked then you have to go via the manufacturer (replace the panel imho)more cost effective.

Richard.

~Part set entry and exit default to 30 seconds

with exit door set to instant alarm (IIRC .......... as I say, only fell for it once, now just refuse to touch them)Would love to know this "boss code"

Would love to know this "boss code"

Wouldn't we all?-Brett is the Tex bod-apparently-he should know of a 'back door'!.

pretty sure there isn't one. needs returning to tex and as above better to buy new.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Just checked, even the latter Veritas have a "Boss" engineer code.

Which can be changed by the engineer. So in fact TWO engineer codes, was always a quirky panel.

If they are both locked its cheaper to buy a new panel.
