June 15, 201015 yr comment_241854 given the amount of zones available and paid for, why not simply fit each contact on its own zone? imo door contacts cause far and away many more unexplained false alarms than motion sensors. mainly due to the misconception if the alarms sets the doors are closed, but all a contact tells you by alowing you to set, is the magnet is close enough to the contact at that time, so a door left slightly ajar and not properly secured, opens in a draft, then slams shut. you return home, check the doors which are now secure, and decide the alarm has a fault only way to stop that is every time before the alarm is armed is to pull and push every door before to check it is held firmly, and everyone has to do that prior to arming every time. that's why modern thinking is use motion detection . but if you insist, then 'my' any problems are easier to identify, Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! (the prosys can, thats one of the only things i like about it.
