hpotter
How would that work then as they've gone bust? Ahh I see now, it looks like some kind of pre pack administration. Think firms who do this (copy of chapter 11 in USA), keep many of staff & suppliers. Not sure how much goodwill gets carried though.
nightmare99
Its called a pre pack admin, they just bought the assets with one of thier other companies and left the creditors high and dry. There were supposed to be new rules coming in on this sort of thing but it does not appear to have deterred people from doing it Link here
hpotter
So poss its the same peeps, with only the selected (paid in full) suppliers stuff? Will any warranty LJD kit get repaired (for a fee of course)?
Guest RJBsec
Four in five UK suppliers may have to write off unpaid debt due to "ineffectual" new rules for pre-pack insolvency arrangements, a leading insurance broker has said.Aon is calling for a change in government legislation to give unpaid suppliers the opportunity to seek recourse before the pre-pack deal is done. Pre-packs deals involve a buyer being lined up before an insolvency technically occurs and without creditor agreement. Disgraceful!
james.wilson
AFAIK the warrantys are void, maybe adata will repair for a fee, but its not in their interests to do that, they i would assume prefer you to buy another. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. digitalwitness
Wonder if the Mods could move this thread to trade forum so a more open discussion could be had on the topic. But I would exercise caution if purchasing from Adata, if LJD has left suppliers high and dry they may find it difficult to source product and wonder how long Adata will be around.
