Hi I have a customer which has one of our alarms a Texecom vertas paniel she has ask me if there is a portable panic button that she could get and wear round her neck and triger the panic feature on the alarm any help on this would be great thanks

yeah all you need is a pendant transmitter and a standalone reciever. Then wire the sa reciever into a spare zone programmed as pa.

Scantronic stuff is bulletproof for this job, most community phone system alarms use the scanny button for this reason.

I second that Scantronic is the dogs b******s for remote PA. Very robust and reliable but not the cheapest.

Yes, we've had a good half mile response in built up areas (eg building sites, nursing homes, dockside warehouses), even got them working in steel containers (not half mile though).
