August 3, 200817 yr comment_206284 Firstly I apologize for any stupid questions.... Would I be right in saying if the line is engaged the dialler is unable to connect? Is there any dialler on the market that will "force" a call though if the line is engaged? Should filters always be used if the household has a broadband connection? Is there such a thing as a hard wired broadband filter? August 3, 200817 yr comment_206285 Firstly I apologize for any stupid questions.... Rarely a stupid question mate Would I be right in saying if the line is engaged the dialler is unable to connect? Yes Is there any dialler on the market that will "force" a call though if the line is engaged? You should connect a dialler as the first device and all other phones to the line out connections, then the dialler will disconnect all other devices via its built in relay. If its an incomming call then no. Thats why proper digital communicators are usually on an incoming calls barred line. Should filters always be used if the household has a broadband connection? Yes Is there such a thing as a hard wired broadband filter? Yes various ones, act one, solwise and the bt one has filtered connections. August 4, 200817 yr comment_206376 Some diallers utilise the recall feature to disconnect and incomming call before then dialling out. This is used in conjunction with the disconnecting relay for disconnecting the extension wiring. You need to get the line settings correct though. Is there such a thing as a hard wired broadband filter? most dialers i have used if wired properly you run the incomming phone line throught it to the house handsets, so if the alarm needs it any handset off hook is disconnected when it dials out. if you have broadband make sure you modem is in a socket and filter before the dialer regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
