I agree with IP but personally I think that it should be in the contract that on exit a FOC call should be made to change code and/or default panel. If this is the case it should be made clear that the purchase price does include IP which will be removed on exit. Glad to see a non-flaming engineering code post! (If asked to) I would welcome the opportunity to ask the customer face to face why they want to take their business elsewhere.
