July 16, 200817 yr comment_205017 Hello Everyone Was wandering whether anybody uses or knows of a reliable small domestic panel with a programmable High-Low ouput i.e Alternating 12v 0v 12v 0v 12v etc. I am trying to integrate an alarm system with an external appliance, so that the external appliance is activated upon an alarm condition. The external appliance needs to be triggered by 0v applied, every 1-5 seconds continuosly during an alarm. If nobody knows of one, was thinking(not too hard obviously) about programming a normal panel output as alarm, and using a Delay Release Module from TK consultants. When it is in Non-Latched(timed) mode, the relay time will be set between 1-5 seconds. After the timer counting down and relay settling back to its normal state, obviously a 0v trigger is still present from the alarm(providing the user has'nt switched it off) therefore switching the outputs for another 1-5 seconds........and so on until the system is unset/reset. Has anybody used a delay release mod from TKC for a similar situation to this or even better know of a capable panel? Hope some clever cloggs can shed some light on it! July 17, 200817 yr comment_205038 If I was you, I would make a small electronic device using just one IC (555), one transistor and a few capacitors and resistors. I will send you a schematic if you are interested in this solution. Thanks : Not sure what you trying to achieve but you could look at e.g. scanny 9651. change op3 (Command 83) to bell, then command 184 to make panel pulse o/p. Used to give fire a different sound to intruder. you would have to make a zone a fire zone so if you want it to work on intruder use relay contacts to scct fire zone and put relay coil (c/w back emf diode) across op1 n +ve Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/24106-high-low-output/#findComment-205046 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 17, 200817 yr comment_205049 You could build up a multivibrator, RS sell a PCB for 555 timers, and the RS 555 data sheet has loads of circuits, you could do it all for about 30 bob ! you can download the data sheet free, If you have no RS account, , maplins probaly do something similar. then trigger it from the bell or strobe output. Curious to know what it is your trying to achieve though !
